SA Farr Family Tree home

Welcome to the South African Farr Family Tree.

There is no registration required, no fees to pay and no strings attached for you to use this website. All the information is there to be shared with everyone who has been bitten or on their way to be bitten by the Genealogy bug. All you have to do is contribute by sending whatever information you may have to make this site a pleasure to visit.

At this stage the Web Site represents two clans with lots of loose ends of others which have not yet been identified. As with all family trees this one is no exception when it comes to being complete and 100% correct. Corrections will therefore be much appreciated.

I am also a descendant of the Du Plessis's, hence the extensive information available pertaining to this family. Due to the du Plessis's past relationship with the Banfields, Lorraine McDowell (Banfield / Heunis) has also kindly given permission to add their family tree compiled by her late father James Banfield to the South African Farr Family Tree. This tree extensively in particular covers the Heunis and Barnard families.

I trust you will benefit from what you will find in our website.

I use Legacy 7.5 to manage the tree and this program obviously allows me to print Decendants, Pedigree, Family group records reports as well as Decendants or Ancestors Charting.

If you want any of these reports for parts of the tree, I will prepare these reports in PDF format for you. If these reports are less than 500 Kb I am willing to send as an attachment via email at no charge. Unfortunatly more than that, I will only print at a fee which will have to include postage.

Exporting of the tree in either GEDCOM, Legacy or Clooz formant is possible but yet again the cost of transfering the file will have to be born by you.
